Elizabeth "Minnie" Rotham

Minnie was born on January 18th, 1837 in Saxony, Germany to unknown parents. The last name of "Rotham" is unconfirmed.

She migrated to the United States some time before 1854.

She married Frederick Staeben some time around 1854.

Their oldest child, William, was born in 1855.

Their second child, Lena, was born in 1857.

Their third child, Otto, was born in February of 1858.

Their fourth child, Adolph, was born in 1859.

Their fifth child, Herman, was born on January 2nd, 1862.

Their sixth child, Augusta L, was born in March of 1863.

In 1870 when she was forty three they lived in Greenbush, WI with eight children; William, Otto, Herman Augusta, Hugo, Edwin, Emma and Amelia, on property valued at $400.  Frederick was a farmer. William was at school, and the rest were at home. There is no mention of Lena or Adolph on the 1870 census, but they are on the 1880 census so we know they were still alive.

Their thirteenth and last child, August, was born about 1877.

Frederick died on August 17th, 1902.

Minnie died on December 7th, 1903 in Sheboygan city, Sheboygan, WI, and was buried in the Union Cemetery in Plymouth, WI.
