John was born in Freedom, Cattaraugus County, New York in the United States to unknown parents. I don't have a birth date for him.
John married Florella Moore on March 14th, 1851 in Yorkshire, NY when she was twenty five years old.
Their first child, Romilia (or Lomelia), was born on June 20th, 1855 in Freedom, NY.
Their second child, Romain Otis, was born on February 11th, 1857 in Bengal, MI.
Their third child, Judith E., was born June 26th, 1859 in Ingham, MI.
Their fourth child, Ellsworth A., was born on July 16th, 1861 in Ingham, MI.
He died on October 3rd, 1862 in Corinth, Adams County, Mississippi.
