Excerpt from "Sarah Rue" by Marlou Belya:
Sarah Rue married James Fisher. They had a household in Wayne Township in 1820 and 1830. They sold 77 acres on 21 Oct 1820 to Jacob Talbot for $500; he was the father of Rebecca Talbot, Henry Rue’s wife (the father of Sally's brother's wife). In 1822, James and Sarah Fisher sold one acre of land for a Methodist Episcopal church in Boston, Wayne County. James Fisher bought 38 acres and 1000 poles of the NE quarter of sec. 3, T 12, R1W from Jacob and Susanna Talbot on 27 Jan 1825. The Fishers appear to have sold their Wayne county land in 1832 but remained close by as James is named an executor of Richard Rue’s will on 11 Nov 1839. James died shortly before September 1844 when Rue added a codicil substituting a new executor for James Fisher, who had died in the interim.
