In 1905 he was seven years old and lived with his family on Aldrich St. in Minneapolis, MN.
In 1910 he was twelve years old and still lived with his parents and four older brothers in Minneapolis.
He married Garnet Audrey Ziegler on May 31st, 1915 in Minneapolis, MN when they were both seventeen years old.
Their first child, Cleo Rose, was born on September 17th 1916 in Minneapolis, MN.
On September 12th, 1918 at the time he registered for the draft, he was a shipping clerk at the NW Steele and Iron Corporation in Minneapolis.
Their second child, Edison H., was born in September of 1917 in Minnesota.
In 1920 Harold and Garnet lived with their two small children and another young couple (Paul and Emily Stone) in Minneapolis. Harold worked as a shipping clerk in the foundry.
By 1930 the family had moved into a house in Duluth, Minnesota which was valued at $6000. They owned a radio. He listed his occupation as service manager for Duluth White Co. The children were eleven and thirteen.
In 1938 when he was forty years old they lived at 820 E 10th, Duluth, MN. He was working as a manger for Duluth White Co. and his daughter Cleo was working as a beauty operator. Young Edison was working as a stockman.

He died on June 15th, 1972 in Brownsville, Cameron, Texas, USA. He was buried at Buena Vista Burial Park, Brownsville, Texas, USA.
*Harold had a brother named George Henry "Pea Soup" Dumont who was a professional baseball player. He was a pitcher for the Washington Senators from 1915 to 1919.
