Sarah Elizabeth Ryan

Sarah was born in August of 1861 in Vermont in the USA to unknown French Canadian parents.

She married John Baptist DuMont on August 24th, 1878 in St. Albans City, Vermont when he was twenty one and she was seventeen.

Their first child, Rose, was born in 1880*.

Their second child, Blanche May, was born in September of 1881.

Their third child, John, was born in August of 1883.

Their fourth child, Jenny June, was born June 26th, 1885 in Hennepin, Minnesota.

Their fifth child, Arthur T., was born in May of 1887.

Their sixth child, Frederick C., was born in September of 1889.

Their seventh child, Mamie, was born in January of 1893.

Their eighth child, George Henry, was born on November 13th, 1895 in Minneapolis, MN.

Their ninth and last child, Harold Ely, was born on May 24th, 1898 in Minneapolis, MN.

In 1900 they lived in Minneapolis Ward 10, Minnesota with eight children. John was a pattern maker in a foundry.

In 1905 they still lived in Minneapolis with the children. John was still a pattern maker.

In 1910 they also still lived in Minneapolis with Arthur, Fred, George and Harold. John was still working as a pattern maker.

John died some time between 1910 and 1930.


In 1930, Sarah was widowed and living in Minneapolis with their son Fred. He was a woodworker at the foundry.

*I don't have any date information for Rose. There is no later mention of her on census records.
