He arrived in the United States on July 7th, 1877 aboard the "Wisconsin"when he was forty one years old and Karen was thirty five. Their four youngest children were with them. They sailed from Liverpool, England, stopped in Queenstown, Ireland and arrived in New York.

They traveled overland from New York to Utah. We don't know anything about their journey, or when they arrived.

Ole married Edith in 1896 or early 1897.

Their only child, Heilma, was born in March of 1898 in Utah.

In 1900 he was sixty four years old and had been married to Edith for four years. They lived in Sandy, UT with their two year old daughter, his son William, his daughter-in-law Clara and two nieces (actually grand-daughters), Olive and Valera.

Ole died on January 23rd, 1923 in Salt Lake City, UT. He was buried in the Sandy City Cemetery in Sandy, UT.

*The passenger list from their 1877 voyage shows Karen as being six years younger than Ole, so she may have been only twenty at the time of the marriage.
